Quilting a Life Together
Quilting a life together
piece by piece
day by day
80 years in the making
Life is like a quilt,
put together over many years,
piece-by-piece,
day-by-day,
stitch-by-stitch,
year-by-year.
Many different colors,
different shapes, and designs.
Different seasons,
different loves,
many smiles, many tears,
many joys, even fears.
As time goes by
it may get a little worn,
a few rips and tears,
a wrinkle here,
or a wrinkle there.
But there's nothing like
having it's memories
wrapped around your shoulders,
keeping you comfortable,
keeping you safe,
keeping you warm.
