Ecclesiastes 3:1-22
To everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
As an executive in the corporate world, one of my greatest strengths was my organization. Everything had a place, and everything was in its place. But then I retired to stay home with my two young daughters. No longer was I organized. I became a mess. I needed more time to keep it organized between drop off, pick up, substituting, storytelling, chauffeuring, coaching, and all the other things I did.
Ecclesiastes says there is a time for everything. A time to be born, die, plant, sow, weep, to dance. When I was younger, it was my time to be organized. When my children became more involved, it was my time to engage more with them. It was my time to cast away stones and laugh, weep, dance, and embrace them.
Now that they are grown, I'm finding a new time, a time to sew, speak or write, and create. We all go through stages in our lives. Times when we grow, learn, work, rest, worship, and love. No matter what "Time" you're in, remember God has a plan, and His timing is perfect.
