The Eyes of the Father

I look over my shoulder

And what do I see

The eyes of my Father

Looking over me

I see His hand

In the lay of the land

I see His tears

Flow in the river grand

I feel his touch

in the cool summer breeze

I hear His voice

whispering in the trees

I look over my shoulder

And what do I see

The eyes of my Father

Looking over me

In the tall oak tree

In the mountain so high

In the valley so deep

In every star in the sky

In the crashing of waves

In the ocean so deep

In the eye of the storm

In the calm of the sea

I look over my shoulder

And what do I see

The eyes of my Father

Looking over me

I know my Father

Is watching over me
